MADRID – Deportivo La Coruña babak belur di hajar Real Madrid, 1-5, di Santiago Bernabéu malam ini. Dihiasi tiga bintang alias hattrick ditanamkan Cristiano Ronaldo, Madrid perlahan merangkak naik di klasifika La Liga sementara.

Babak Pertama
Di awal-awal interval perdana, Madrid tanpa diduga tertinggal lebih dulu. Pada menit ke-18, Iván Riki menggetarkan gawang Madrid dengan sontekannya yang memperdaya Iker Casillas, usai mendapat sodoran umpan tak sengaja dari Luís Pizzi.

Akan tetapi, euforia Deportivo tak bertahan lama. Pada menit ke-23, Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) melahirkan gol penyama kedudukan lewat hadiah penalti dan sukses mengubah papan skor Santiago Bernabéu menjadi 1-1. Penaltinya sendiri terjadi lantaran Ángel di María dilanggar Manuel Pablo di kotak terlarang.

Memasuki menit ke-38, Los Blancos mampu berbalik unggul lewat gol Di María. Prosesnya berawal dari through pass Luka Modric kepada Di María yang langsung menyonteknya. Babak Kedua
Kedua tim coba melakukan perubahan taktis di babak kedua. Di pihak Los Merengues, José Mourinho memasukkan Ricardo Kaká menggantikan Mesut Özil yang perannya kurang maksimal. Sementara Deportivo menarik keluar Pablo yang di babak pertama banyak melakukan kesalahan.

Tapi bencana Deportivo kian bertambah di menit ke-82. Hand-ball yang dilakukan Evaldo Fabiano membuat árbitro Miguel Ángel Ayza Gámez, lagi-lagi menunjuk titik putih. CR7 yang kembali menjadi algojo, sukses membawa Madrid unggul 5-1, sekaligus mencatatkan hattrick.

The Real Madrid forward is still convicted that at the end, it all came down to luck and that Portugal should be proud of this team, because every player has done his best. In Ronaldo's view, the "Selecção" made enough to deserve the victory against Spain, but there's not much you can do when the penalties lottery arrive. As for the controvery about being left for last on the penalties shootout, Ronaldo said that he did spoke with the Portuguese National Team coach, Paulo Bento and that he agreed with being the 5th penalty taker that night. The Portuguese star gave a valuable contribution to his nation's aspirations of being crowned European Champions, but their dreams got denied in the penalties shootout's final moments. Cristiano Ronaldo: "Penalties are a lottery and whoever gets lucky, wins. We feel frustrated, because we know we've been very close to reach this Sunday's final", stated the Real Madrid forward to a Portuguese television network called SIC. Ronaldo had 5 appearances and 3 goals in this EURO 2012, assuming the role of the main figure in the Portuguese National Team. He scored half of his team's goals in the tournament (3 out of 6) and he has been tremendously decisive in beating Holland when still on the group stage and the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals. Nonetheless, we all know the media will always seek for flaws and the simple fact that Ronaldo didn't have a chance to take his penalty-kick against Spain has been on the center of the controversy over the last days. Cristiano Ronaldo: "I was going to take the 5th penalty last Wednesday against Spain. What happened was that I didn't have the chance to take it. That decision of being the 5th on the list, has been taken before the penalties shootout have started", remarked the Portuguese forward, before explaining himself better... Ronaldo: "I think this has been a great tournament for us. We've done well and we ended being one of the best four European National teams. We just didn't win in those semi-finals because we lacked a bit of luck. We have to be proud for what we have done, but it's also true that we are a bit frustrated because we know we have been very close to reach the EURO 2012 final. Dua pundit (ahli sepak bola) BBC rata-rata berkomentar miring dengan cara Pelatih Portugal Paulo Bento mengurutkan algojo penaltinya dan memberikan kesempatan terakhir kepada Ronaldo. Praktis, bomber Real Madrid itu pun tidak menyepak penalti bagiannya karena "Seleccao" telanjur terdepak saat eksekutor terakhir Spanyol, Cesc Fabregas, memastikan kemenangan 4-2 bagi timnya.

"Sangat jarang kesempatan (menendang penalti) itu datang bagi eksekutor penalti kelima. Jika Anda mencetak tiga penalti pertama, itu akan membuat lawan makin terbebani. Saya pikir Ronaldo seharusnya memimpin dari awal, mencetak gol penaltinya, dan menyingkirkan segala beban dari rekan-rekannya yang lain. Kesalahan terjadi di sini," sebut Danny Mills kepada BBC Radio 5 Live.

Bahkan, striker legendaris Inggris, Alan Shearer, angkat bicara langsung dari Donetsk.

"Sungguh tak masuk akal. Ronaldo jadi algojo penalti kelima, apakah benar ia menjadi eksekutor utama timnya? Saya tak paham, benarkah Ronaldo algojo terbaik Portugal?" tanya Shearer beretorika.

Mengapa Ronaldo Jadi Eksekutor Kelima?

Publik yang menonton laga sengit antara tim nasional Portugal dan Spanyol hingga akhir, Rabu (27/6/2012), tentu ingat benar dengan ekspresi kekecewaan kapten sekaligus striker andalan "Seleccao", Cristiano Ronaldo, setelah tahu timnya gagal melaju ke babak final Piala Eropa 2012 karena kalah 2-4 melalui drama adu penalti. CR7, begitu Ronaldo biasa disebut, hanya bisa kecewa tanpa menyumbangkan tendangan mautnya karena dia ditetapkan sebagai eksekutor kelima timnya sementara dua eksekutor sebelumnya sudah gagal.

Banyak yang mempertanyakan alasan, entah itu kepada pelatih tim nasional Portugal, Paulo Bento, atau bahkan Ronaldo sendiri, mengenai penempatan Ronaldo sebagai eksekutor kelima. Padahal dalam laga-laga penting sebelumnya, baik bersama timnas maupun klubnya, Real Madrid, Ronaldo selalu masuk dalam daftar tiga eksekutor penalti yang utama.

Giliran eksekusi penalti merupakan hak pelatih untuk menetapkannya. Pelatih Paulo Bento pun mengakui bahwa dialah yang meminta bintang berusia 27 tahun itu untuk menjadi eksekutor terakhir. Apa alasannya?

"Kami yang menetapkan rencana (eksekutor) ini dan jika tadinya skor menjadi 4-4 dan dia (Ronaldo) akan mengeksekusi tendangan terakhir kita akan berbicara hal yang berbeda," ungkapnya seperti dilansir Reuters.

Hal ini sesuai dengan pernyataan Ronaldo yang sebelumnya menyatakan bahwa dirinya ditanya oleh Bento untuk menjadi eksekutor kelima dan dia segera menyetujuinya.

Sayangnya, lanjut Bento, prediksi ini tak berjalan sesuai rencana. Tendangan Joao Moutinho, eksekutor pertama, berhasil diantisipasi oleh kiper Spanyol, Iker Casillas, dan tendangan Bruno Alves membentur mistar gawang. Sementara itu, empat dari tiga eksekutor Spanyol sudah berhasil mencetak gol. Alhasil, Ronaldo harus angkat koper dengan rasa penasaran yang sangat besar.

Pelatih berusia 43 tahun ini pun mengakui bahwa keberuntungan tidak berpihak pada timnya meski seluruh pemain telah tampil dengan sangat memuaskan.

"Jika Anda tidak memiliki sedikit keberuntungan, maka Anda akan kehilangan hal itu. Kami tidak memiliki cukup keberuntungan di pertandingan ini," tuturnya.

CR7 Pahlawan Kemenangan Portugal
